The Hammerhead SS-Big Block sideways mounted skid steer log splitter features a unique box style wedge that is designed with big rounds in mind. Made to run on a skid steer, wheel loader or excavator, this log splitter will revolutionize how big rounds are handled. Whether it's a 24" round that you struggle to get up on your splitter, or a 48" round that you would otherwise need to pre-split, the Big Block will "chomp" it's way through any size firewood block, regardless of its diameter. The Big Block makes extensive use of high strength steel and incorporates industrial grade components to ensure excellent availability and a long service life. Our unique splitting wedge creates uniform size pieces of firewood from the outside of the block as it "shaves" down the block from top to bottom using our proprietary depth guides and wedge design. Designed for easy operation, the Big Block is controlled by the skid steer's hydraulics and enables the operator to produce uniform sized firewood, from the cab of your skid steer or excavator.
