The Hammerhead GS-44 DS Dual Saw Grapple Saw is designed to pick up one log or multiple logs at a time and cut them from the safety of the operator cab.  The dual saw setup is great for bucking 100" logs into firewood for an outdoor woodboiler.  With the saws placed 32.5" apart, you'll get 3 pieces, with each piece being  about 32.5"-33.5" long.  This machine is very effecient for making boiler wood, or for any application where you need 32-33" long pieces of wood.  Similar to our single saw version, the GS-44 DS is ideal for storm cleanup, sawmill yard, land clearing, logging, clearing hiking or biking or snowmobile trails, or for cutting logs to any length.  You simply grasp the log in the grapple and push a button to activate the hydraulic saw.  After your cut is complete, push another button to return the saw to the upright/home position.  Repeat this for making the second cut with saw number 2.  Each time you press the “saw down” button it provides a squirt of oil to the saw bar from one of the dedicated bar oil tank built into the grapple saw.  This unit also works great for bucking up logs that are too big to fit in a firewood processor.  We offer this grapple saw in two versions, the standard version which has a 24" diameter cut capacity and the XL which has a 30" diameter max cut capacity.   The GS-44 Grapple Saw makes extensive use of high strength steel and incorporates industrial grade components to ensure excellent availability and a long service life.
